We believe on-campus healthcare must be accessible, convenient, and affordable. We work with our school district partners to build integrated, program-driven, on-campus healthcare solutions.
As healthcare access becomes easily accessible, utilization increases. We believe the best place to provide access to healthcare is on school campus.
In order to create a “culture of healthcare” we must provide obstacle-free options.
Wellness visits are the foundation to a successful on-campus wellness program. They ensure districts are compliant and that students are healthy and strong.
States across the US have various requirements for students enrolled in public schools. Additionally, government entities and healthcare providers have recommended preventative care and screenings for each age of child development. The well visit enabled by Campus Clinic is a no-cost-to-patient check up that ensures school districts perform each required service based on the student’s grade or age. It also ensures students are healthy and able to learn without obstacles.
Depending on your jurisdictional requirements and the ages and grades of the students served, here are some of the services offered during the well visit:
Many state laws require School Districts to provide care on campus. For example, California Law Section #: EC49427 says “School boards and county superintendents of schools are to maintain fundamental school health services at a level that preserves students’ ability to learn, fulfills existing state student health requirements and policies, and contains health care costs through preventive programs and education. The legislature also recognizes that the current caseloads in public schools may be jeopardizing the provision of these services and that failure to maintain them at an adequate level may result in students’ poorer health and ability to learn.”
The Affordable Care Act paved the way for preventative care to be at no cost to patient provided someone has insurance. However, Campus Clinic believes that those without insurance should also be taken care of.
As such, Well Visits cost nothing to the patient and should be done on an annual basis. Speak with your School District to learn more about when and how these services are offered on campus.
Although the COVID-19 pandemic is coming to an end, our country faces other major healthcare issues. Most of these can be prevented or cared for with convenient, affordable access to healthcare. Schools that have a Campus Clinic are safer, healthier, and more productive than schools that do not. Here are four reasons why having a Campus Clinic makes sense.

Most of our services are at NO COST to patient. This is possible through insurance companies, grants, and healthcare regulation which states that preventative care should be at no cost to patients. Some non-preventative services may require a fee or a copayment. However, we will always inform patients and families beforehand and let them decide if they want to proceed.
School based health clinic's are funded through a variety of means. Most of these have little to no impact on existing school funds.
